If you note any food allergy reaction whenever you or your love ones ate certain food ... from rashes, cough to asthma and anaphylactic reaction ... confirm it with an allergy test ... besides taking food allergen off the recipe and menu ... you need to ensure that there are no cross contamination from the worktop to equipments used ... read labels of packaged products ... unsured don't use ... it can be life threatening for someone with severe allergy and anaphylactic reaction.

Vegetarian Glutinous Rice (Vegen Lo Mai Gai)


Ingredients:
  • glutinous rice 500 gm
  • water 250ml
  • salt to taste

  • dried chinese mushroom 50 gm
  • raw peanut 150 gm
  • dried water chestnut 100 gm
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • sugar to taste
  • vegetarian mushroom oyster sauce to taste
  • vegetarian mushroom powder seasoning
  • water
  • oil

Procedure:
  1. wash and soak rice for 6-8 hours
  2. steam for 20 - 30 mins
  3. add water, salt to taste, mix well
  4. steam another 30 mins
  1. wash and soak  mushroom, raw peanut, water chestnut till soft
  2. diced mushroom, peanuts, water chestnut
  3. heat wok with oil
  4. fry diced mushroom, peanuts and water chestnut
  5. add salt, pepper, sugar, mushroom oyster sauce, mushroom powder
  6. fry till well mix
  7. add some water to cover, simmer till cook and soft, almost dry
  8. adjust seasoning to taste
  9. add to cooked rice and mixed well, serve

  •  i cooked this vegetarian glutinous rice without the lotus leaf
