Food Allergy

If you note any food allergy reaction whenever you or your love ones ate certain food ... from rashes, cough to asthma and anaphylactic reaction ... confirm it with an allergy test ... besides taking food allergen off the recipe and menu ... you need to ensure that there are no cross contamination from the worktop to equipments used ... read labels of packaged products ... unsured don't use ... it can be life threatening for someone with severe allergy and anaphylactic reaction.

Green Bean Kueh

Ingredients:
  • glutinous rice flour 500 gm
  • potato, cooked and mashed 100 gm
  • green coloring 
  • landan essense
  • water 
  • split green bean 500 gm
  • sugar 250 gm
  • oil
  • pandan leaf
  • coconut milk 500 ml
  • hoon kueh flour ( green bean flour) 100 gm
  • salt
 Procedure:
  1. mix glutinous rice flour, mash potatoes in a mixing bowl
  2. add green color to some water, add to flour mixture
  3. knead into a dough, add 1 tbsp oil, knead, set aside

  1.  soak split green bean for 6-8 hours
  2. steam till cook, cool
  3. blend with some water till puree
  4. add sugar, oil, mix well
  5. fry over low heat till almost dry, cool
  6. divide into equal portion and shape into a ball

  1. divide dough into equal portion and wrap bean paste ball
  2. place it over oil banana leaf, steam steam for 10 - 15 mins

  1.  mixed coconut milk, hoon kueh flour, salt in a pot
  2. stir and simmer over low fire till thicken
  3. top each steam green bean kueh with the thick smooth coconut cream
